On the weekend of December 15th and 16th, the VRDC performed its 30th Anniversary Production of the Nutcracker. This one was certainly a year to remember, as our Rat King died a different death! Showing the skill and capabilities of our dancers, the Prince thought quickly and beat the Rat King with a jagged sword to the throat.
Surprise, surprise! This year we had an amazing alumni return to our Nutcracker. Bruce McCormick, a Juilliard graduate, became an Arabian masterpiece! His choreography and movements were sublime, and we were very grateful to have such an accomplished alumni return to our production.
In attendance this year, was the VRDC's very first Prince, Mr. Joseph Onorato. We were very lucky to see him again, and have him share the significance of this important milestone.
Here are some pictures from the Post Performance Reception. If you have great pictures, send them to info@vrdc.org and you may see them here!
